Srinagar is the largest city and the summer Capital of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus and Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is known for its natural environment, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats.

Execution of Infrastructure projects in Kashmir region is tough on many fronts owing to the harsh winter season, tough terrain, slow road connectivity from the other parts of the country, and several other disturbances.
Srinagar Smart City Mission Project
“The key objective of the project is to provide the important information, traffic updates, key schemes of the government to the people of Srinagar.”
We executed the end to end project covering 15 key locations of the city. The project involved civil infrastructure work at various locations in the city and supply of Variable Message Displays along with the heavy duty Mounting Steel Structures. Installation of the Outdoor Display systems (VaMS) was the major activity to be performed before the project could be completed. Our teams managed to perform this critical activity at the night time in 7 nights during the peak winter season. Providing the network connectivity and the power to all the locations was the last bit in the project. The commissioning of the smart products and integration with the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Srinagar Smart City was completed by our expert technical teams.
Media Coverage of the Project
Our Team's dedication was recognised when the project was inaugurated by the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Manoj Sinha.
The Project was challenging due to the geography, traffic junctions, weather, and the topography of Kashmir region. UNO WORKS team successfully executed the project in 2 months and delivered value for the customer.
